1. Payment Terms

All bookings must be paid in full by the CLIENT at the time of reservation unless an alternative payment agreement is signed and approved in writing by MERIT TRAVEL.

Bookings will only be considered confirmed once full payment has been received.

All payments must be made in the currency stated on the relevant invoice and via the accepted methods specified at the time of the transaction.

Non-Payment or Underpayment
If payment is not received by the specified deadline or if the payment is incomplete due to, but not limited to, bank fees, currency conversion discrepancies, or other transaction deductions, MERIT TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel the booking at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

In such cases, the CLIENT and/or end user will not be entitled to any compensation, refund, or fulfillment of services.

The CLIENT is solely responsible for all costs or discrepancies associated with the payment process, including but not limited to international banking fees, currency conversion charges, and related bank costs.

2. General Service Conditions

These terms should be read in conjunction with the above payment provisions and do not supersede them. In the event of any conflict, the specific service conditions will prevail.

Accommodation Services (Non-Group Bookings)

  • Child Discounts: Conditions applicable to children vary depending on the service provider. It is the CLIENT’s responsibility to verify eligibility and applicable rates at the time of booking.

  • Cribs/Beds: Availability of these items is limited and must be requested during the booking process. Additional charges may apply and are typically payable directly to the accommodation provider.

  • Third-Party Occupancy: Accommodation for a third adult is generally arranged via an extra bed in a double room. Availability and applicable fees vary by provider and must be confirmed in advance.

No-Show Policy
If the end user fails to arrive at the accommodation on the scheduled arrival date without prior notice, it will be treated as a cancellation. Unless specifically approved in writing by MERIT TRAVEL, no refund or credit will be given. Cancellation fees may range from one night to the full value of the booking.

3. Changes and Cancellations

Changes
Any reduction in the length of stay, changes to guest names, or alterations to booked services after confirmation will be considered a cancellation unless explicitly authorized by MERIT TRAVEL. Requests to extend services are subject to availability and may result in price adjustments.

Cancellations
Cancellation conditions for each service are clearly stated during the booking process and may include classifications such as non-refundable or other specified terms.

It is the sole responsibility of the CLIENT to review these policies carefully before confirming the booking and initiating payment, as terms vary depending on the service type or provider.

4. Client Responsibilities and Liabilities

The CLIENT is fully responsible for the conduct of the end users utilizing the booked services. In cases of abuse, including but not limited to inappropriate behavior or property damage, MERIT TRAVEL and/or the service provider reserves the right to cancel services immediately without any liability or refund.

The CLIENT agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MERIT TRAVEL from and against any claims, liabilities, costs, expenses, or damages (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising directly or indirectly from:

  • Breach of these terms by the CLIENT, its employees, agents, or contractors; or

  • Any negligence, wrongful act, or omission by the CLIENT or its representatives during the use of the services.

MERIT TRAVEL's total liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, will in no event exceed the total amount paid by the CLIENT for the specific service giving rise to the claim. MERIT TRAVEL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of reputation, or business interruption.

5. MERIT TRAVEL’s Role and Disclaimer

MERIT TRAVEL acts solely as an independent intermediary between the CLIENT and third-party service providers (including but not limited to hotels, transport operators, and local agencies). Therefore, MERIT TRAVEL cannot be held responsible for:

  • Injury, illness, death, loss, damage, theft, delay, or any other irregularity arising from service provision by the supplier;

  • Claims not reported by the end user during the use of the services.

All claims related to the quality or execution of services must be directed to the relevant service provider. MERIT TRAVEL will not mediate or process any claims submitted after departure or after the service period has ended, unless such issues were reported during the stay.
